Special Guest Jennifer Jensen

It’s extremely difficult to recount an entire lifetime in the span of thirty to forty-five minutes.

Research suggests that listeners enjoy a show somewhere in that range, so I try to keep the episodes in that timeframe. Sometimes it’s easy, but in some cases we exceed the time limit and choose to split the episode, case in point: “Tate’s Army-Parts I & II.”

Jennifer Jensen could and should author numerous books about her life and experiences. We were only able to speak on a small piece of her story because of ongoing litigation in the court system. Hopefully, Jennifer will be back to share how that story unfolds. I’m sure of her many potential books, the first manuscript may be about the profound love she developed for the man she met in high school and ultimately married.

Another might be a book about the strength it took to fight the brain cancer that ravaged her love. Conceivably, another could be about the search, rescue, and recovery efforts when her husband escaped his housing facility and a county-wide manhunt ensued. There could be one about the impact of her late husband’s extant work after his death, or the process of grief in the quiet moments in a funeral home that heretofore had been packed with grieving friends and family.

Whatever creative outlet Jennifer may pursue in the future to immortalize the love of her life—one thing is certain: Love never fails. As a true reminder for everybody to love everybody, Jennifer’s story reveals how much is possible when you choose to love another human through the highs and lows of life.
